Okay wow I haven't made a journal entry since last year's trip to Anime Detroit so why not let's do this. Godaiko was just as awkward and empty as it was last year which is still really surreal because I remember Youma 2007 at that same hotel so vividly. It was crammed at all hours of the night with people, a group of 30 cosplayers out on the lawn playing red rover in the dark, people whooping from the balconies. At godaiko it's like, "oops, it's 8:30, halls are deserted, time to go home." So Anime Detroit was really really small and barren and it was really weird seeing that hotel so empty after having been there for Youmacon. But hey, we met some cool people, spent too much money and spent the day for free, so that was pretty neat. We absolutely plan to have a table next year, there were so many emptry tables Alisa kept pestering to buy a table and sell paper cranes and I was like, "Not with my money, no," and then gave her all my money to commision sadwonderland (https://www.deviantart.com/sadwonderland) for a sketch. Also if you found one of my paper cranes, yes, I know I folded them wrong. ai-risa (https://www.deviantart.com/ai-risa) was the one who taught me and she missed a step I guess.
